Tara Chandler grew up in Vancouver where she was active in both academics and athletics. Tara earned her BA with a double major in history and English literature at McGill University in Montreal before heading further east to attend Dalhousie law school in Halifax, NS. After obtaining her LLB in 2006, Tara returned home to Vancouver to practice law and was called to the bar in June of 2007.
Tara has worked in litigation right out of the gate; before joining Vertlieb Dosanjh in 2010, she practised at a small downtown firm where she acted in several supreme court trials early on in her career. Her range of experience extends to all stages of the litigation process as well as negotiating terms of settlement and representing clients at multi-party mediations. She has appeared in trial before both Jury and Judge alone. Tara's practice focuses mainly on Plaintiffs personal injury, however she has also assisted clients with a number of various matters including employment issues and contracts disputes.
Tara’s memberships include the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, The Vancouver Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
